The bell and what it tells you: your animals moved, orders arriving, @mentions and genotyping reminders, and how to choose them.

The bell at the top shows what happened while you were away: someone moved your animals or vials, picked from your breeders, recorded a genotype on your mice, an order you placed was ordered, arrived or was cancelled, someone wrote @you in a record's notes (a reagent, an order, a plasmid, a cage) or a notebook comment, and lab news such as being made admin. Admins are told of each new order request. A notice about one record opens that record — an order notice opens the order. A daily note reminds you of pups waiting to be genotyped. Choose which kinds you get in Settings → Notifications; you're never notified of your own changes.

If your server sends email, a daily digest of what's overdue or coming up — flips, weanings, returns, expiring stock — goes to the email on your profile (Settings → Reminder emails). Clear the email to stop it.
