Lab setup

Turn databases on or off, and set your lab's name, time zone and dates.

More → Lab setup in the sidebar (admins) reopens the survey at any time: switch databases on or off, rename the lab, choose the calendar and notebook, and set what members may do — create their own databases, or add ones for the whole lab. Under Who looks after the lab, make someone admin.

Switching a database off hides it and closes it to members, even by a saved link; its data is kept, and admins can still open it (a note says it is off).

Under Your lab, besides its name:

• Time zone — what "today" and "overdue" mean, and the times shown. Blank uses the server's (or the computer's).
• Dates — how dates are written in lists and messages: Sep 26, 2026, 26 Sep 2026 or 2026-09-26. Date fields you type into follow your computer's language.
• Genotyping day — the day after birth the genotyping reminder falls on (P28 unless you change it).
