Finding things
Search everything from anywhere, and keep pages open as tabs.
- The search box above a sheet filters it as you type: an ID, a genotype, a cage, a note.
- Chips beside it narrow it: All, Alive, Mine, Lab common, a status, Expiring soon.
- Search everything with ⌘/Ctrl + K, from anywhere: mice, cages, litters, experiments, strains, vials, tanks, lines, clutches, plasmids, orders, samples, reagents, antibodies, viruses and notebook pages. Names that are, or start with, what you typed come first ("S20" finds the S20 tubes before a note about an S200 column), and a lot or catalogue number typed in full comes before anything that merely contains it. Arrows to move, Enter to open.
- Tabs. Following a link moves the tab you're in; + opens a new tab on your start page (Settings → Default landing page; Home if none). Drag to reorder, Alt (⌥ Option on a Mac) + 1…9 to jump. They're still there tomorrow, and they are yours: someone else signing in on the same computer gets their own.
